Buonsera Ladies & Gentlemen,
Scottish Chef, Restaurateur and Author, Gordon Ramsey has a programme which is being re-broadcast in Spanish, which I happened to catch in the middle of the airing of the show. This show is filmed in the USA. He was preparing rare burgers with shallot, cherry tomatoes and Reggiano Parmesano ... Of course, it had caught my attention ... Here is the simple recipe Gordon prepared for a Californian Burger venue ...
Extra virgin olive oil, salt and black freshly grounded pepper
Hamburger Buns
1 pound of beef ground round
shallots to caramelize ( 1 pound )
1 carton cherry tomatoes to sauté ( coulis and with shallot )   
Reggiano Parmesano
1. Gordon took the Evoo and placed it in a skillet, in which he started to sauté peeled and finely chopped shallots
2. then, he added the cherry tomatoes to the shallots
3. he grilled the burgers to rare point perfect
4. during this time, he had toasted the burger buns
5. Gordon smeared the buns with just cherry tomato coulis and then placed the burger ontop of the bun, added the caramelized shallots and cherry tomato mixture on top of the burger, and sprinkled it heavily with The Reggiano.
6. He served these to the clients sitting at the Bar ...
7. They were in the their heaven ...
Unfortunately, I had tuned in late, and could not catch the name of the Bistro nor the exact measurements.
However, it surely was impressive and from the looks on the clientel´s faces, I am sure it was wonderful.

Sounds tasty Margie.

However, I would caution people to cook ground meats well done, unless one is grinding their own, and certain steps are followed.
