I'll be placing a small order today for some garlic here:

https://www.seedsavers.org/category/garlic

I just placed an order for two bulbs of Chesnok Red, which comes from Georgia. From what I can see, it will make a great addition to my cooking projects next year.

Does anyone else plan on growing some garlic next year? Now would be the time to order and plant it!

Now would be a great time, Mike - have you ever planted any garlic, or is it something you might want to try?

Never have done garlic, seems like something I would try though, we use a lot of it.

We planted some for last summer; it was just an "experiment" with some extra cloves that we had in the kitchen. we didn't get much, but what we got was very good.

The two bulbs I ordered should contain a total of 16 to 20 cloves for planting. If each of those bulbs prospers, I should have a good supply next year to use with cooking projects, with plenty left over for planting even more next fall. Maybe I'll turn a larger section of our lawn into a "garlic farm" - it's one of my favourite things to use in cooking.
