MAJORERO is recognized as the first 100% Goat Cheese in all of Iberia and the 1st to obtain a Designation of Origin, MAJORERO CHEESE, and is one of the most highly valued indigenious goat cheeses since Pre-historic times on the island of Fuerteventura, The Canary Islands.

FUERTEVENTURA SIERRA ( HILL COUNTRY GRAZING LANDS FOR GOATS ... )

Its prestige is backed by the quality of the raw material employed from the goat milk of the autochthonous goat of Fuerteventura, coupled by following strict traditional methods of production.

The milk owes its superior quality to the MAJORERA GOAT, with its ancient bloodlines and genetic qualities, which have given it to perfectly adapt to its harsh cliff mountain landscape and is an excellent goat breed with a  powerful constitution, exemplary in health. This breed is exempt from common livestock species in continental regions, which adds to its quality level goat milk, with a protein content of 5 %  and  a fat content of 5 %.

MAJORERO GOAT CHEESE TYPES ...

Firstly, FRESH goat milk´s cheese is exceptional in its category and is produced by EL PASTOR ISLEÑO and MAXORATA, both owned by GRUPO GANADEROS located in Fuerteventura.
