Creamy rich Camembert hails from the lush green pastures of Normandy in northwest France and the cheese is named after a village. It is similar to Brie, however, it is quite a bit more pungent.
This pâté is firm yet spreadable and combines Camembert, Cream Cheese and Chopped Walnuts. Serve with toasted baguette and assorted crudités like sweet red bell pepper, finely chopped celery stalks and filled endive leaves.

RECIPE FOR 4 SERVINGS

7 Ounces Camembert cheese, bloomy white rind removed
4 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese sliced into chunks at room temperature
1 tblsp fresh lime juice
2 tblsps walnuts toasted and chopped
Additional chopped and toasted walnuts

1. blend the camembert in Food Processor until smooth
2. gradually add the cream cheese, and process until smooth
3. add the lime juice and process until smooth
4. transfer mixture to bowl and mix with the 2 tblsps of walnuts
5. season with salt and black, rose & green freshly grinded peppercorns
6. spoon the Pâté into a 2 cup bowl and sprinkle top with more nuts
7. let firm in refrig
8. then, let the Pâté become room temperature before serving

*** serve with white or red wine, crackers of choice, crusty baguette country style dark breads ( assorted )

Have nice wkend.
Kindest.
Margi.
