Enjoying an afternoon with my wife and a good supper in the works, we opened a nice bottle of wine from Italy, the North Western part known as the Piedmont. We've always liked it and it seemed a perfect wine to sip as the rain and clouds came and went, periods of pouring showers followed by a few minutes of dazzling sunshine.

I'll have to keep my eye open for that one....I love a good red with just about anything. Especially a good Chianti with my pasta.
